The Member of Parliament (MP) for New Edubiase constituency in the Adansi South District of the Ashanti Region Ernest Kofi Yakah and the has had his car burnt by some angry constituents for failing to deliver on some campaign promises he made.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for the area, Benjamin Anhwere was not spared as his vehicle was also put to flames in protest of the many unfulfilled of promises made to them.

The MP and the DCE are said to have promised to hook some communities to the national grid but failed to do so after several years.

Their inactions, according to some residents had affected businesses, education as well as health care delivery, thus making life unbearable for them.

“We have been living in darkness for the past years and these MPs always come to our town to campaign and promised us but they end up deceiving us and not fulfilling their promises”.

“We can longer wait and so we are not going to allow them to campaign in our various towns because as we are getting closer to elections, they will be coming in their numbers. In fact, we will burn their cars if they dare visit our town”.

“This light issue has affected us so much because our children can no longer learn at night, our businesses have collapsed” one resident said, according to ultimate1069.com.
