George Loh, a member of the defense team of the Montie 3 says although as first time offenders his clients have been made examples of to sanitize the media landscape, there is little anyone can do except for the contemnors to brace their fate.

According to Mr Loh, he had hoped fines would be the punitive measure from the Justice and in a worst case scenario, a few days behind bars but the four months sentence has stunned him although he sees, through the ruling, his clients have become "martyrs of democracy."

Speaking to Joy News, George Loh opined his clients have braced themselves to become detained men for the next 4 months adding "when the Supreme Court speaks that is it."
