Members of the vigilante group believed to be associated with the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), Delta Force, in the Tafo Pankrono Constituency of the Ashanti Region have warned not to allow any meeting involving the party to take place in the Constituency since the leadership of the party have fail to fulfill promises made to them.

The group has also decided not to work for the NPP again since they have been neglected after they worked for the party to come to power.

Some group of well-built men suspected to be members of the pro-NPP vigilante group, Delta Force, on Sunday, 7 October 2018, disrupted a constituency meeting between the Member of Parliament for Tafo-Pankrono, Dr. Anthony Akoto Osei and some party officials.

The aggrieved young men chased out the lawmaker for failing to fulfill promises made to them ahead of the 2016 elections.

The well-built young men who were riding on motorbikes destroyed chairs which have been arranged for the meeting.

The Monitoring and Evaluation Minister, Dr. Akoto Osei, had no option than to run for his life.

Justifying their actions, the group indicated that the MP made several promises to them ahead of the 2016 elections and has failed to fulfill them almost two years after they were used to protect ballot boxes during the 2016 general elections.

They claimed the MP no longer picks their calls irrespective of the promises and they are jobless and could barely make ends meet.

Speaking in an interview with PrimeNewsGhana, a member of the Delta Force, Hack Musa Kasiru said they led these boys [Delta Force] to work for the NPP in 2016 and after the elections; they expect to be given employment.

Kasiru who is also known as Falasi said Delta Force leaders keep promising the members of job offers but several attempts to get the MP and other executives to fulfill their promises have failed.

Falasi added that in order for the youth to believe that they [executives] have not been given any job offer and as such fighting hard for them, they were compelled to disrupt the meeting.

“We spoke to the boys to stop their works and join us and they did, so we wanted the boys to know that no job has come and we are angry with the NPP”, he explained.

He said “we will not ‘fight’ for the NPP again. We will not suffer for them to chop because they are all not ready to help us”.
