Police account
The Northern Regional Police Public Relations Officer (PRO), Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Mr. Ebenezer Tetteh who briefed Graphic Online said the deceased was murdered and her body cut into pieces by the two suspects after luring her into the bush to give her some goods to buy but ostensibly to collect the huge sums of monies they found on the deceased.

He said after two weeks when the family of the deceased had not heard from her, one of her relatives from Kumasi was asked to follow up where he was informed by some people that they saw the deceased in the company of Mahamadu and Alhassan some weeks earlier.

ASP Tetteh said the Police in Walewale was informed which led to the arrest of the suspects and during interrogation, they told the police that the deceased was sick and they had taken her to a village for treatment.

He said upon further interrogation the two suspected confessed killing the suspect and later led the police to the crime scene where the decomposed body of the deceased was retrieved.

He said after thorough investigations Mahamadu and Alhassan were charged with murder while Mahamadu's father who was later arrested by the police was also charged with conspiracy for asking his son to concealed the crime.
