The New Patriotic Party’s women supporters wing, Loyal Ladies  will today (Saturday) serve constituent of Ashiaman a suburb of greater Accra with waakye which is a local delicacy as part as a campaign strategy dubbed ‘Waakye Fest’ to canvas vote for NPP presidential candidate Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo in the upcoming December polls.

Though the opposition New Patriotic Party has come under criticism from other political parties as buying vote ahead of the December polls  after their  women supporters wing Loyal Ladies collaborated with NPP parliamentary candidate in the Ayawaso East constituency, Peter Mireku, to serve local porridge ‘kokoo’to the constituent of Ayawaso East early last month, the National Youth Organiser of the NPP Mr Sammi Awuku, refuted such claims saying serving food to the less- privilege in society cannot be tagged as vote buying .

“We are not telling them to take this and vote for us, our parliamentary candidate is embarking on this outreach to reach out to the less-privileged in the constituency, and as youth, we feel that it is important to give him that,”
