The ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) will establish the Zongo Development Fund they promised the Zongo communities in the country in their very first budget to Parliament in March.
The Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia disclosed this over the weekend while addressing the Muslim community during the celebration of the birth of Prophet Mohammed at New Fadama in Accra.
He stated that the establishment and implementation of the Fund will be done in consultation with Chiefs, Imams and opinion leaders in the Zongo communities.
“We will establish the Zongo development fund in our very first budget in March of this year, it is very important for people of the Zongo and Muslims at large who live in this Zongo communities, we will establish and work in consultation with our Chiefs, our Imams and opinion leaders to make sure the fund delivers on the need of the people of the Zongo.â€
