Scores of dedicated followers of embattled preacher, Daniel Obinim have beseeched the premises of the Nima Police Station and then the CID Headquarters to perhaps solidarize or better still demand the release of their ‘Papa’ who they behold as an angel.

The controversial Ghanaian pastor was arrested for allegedly defrauding a complainant of GH¢11.6 million in addition to the human rights abuse charges leveled against him by the Gender ministry for whipping two young lovers at his church premises.

Obinim was arrested on Tuesday and then moved from the Tema Regional Police Command to the Nima Police Station but the crowd kept faith with their captured leader keeping wake at the police station.

Although the church members did not vandalize property reportedly, their very presence and noise led to the transfer of Obinim to the CID Headquarters for court processing.

But even at the CID Headquarters the numbers keep swelling. From the bus station around the police HQ right through the Ghana Broadcasting Corporation, members of God’s Way International Church and sympathizers have taken over the road.

His flock believe their leader is being humiliated unduly hence the show of support.
