Members of Youth for Mahama (YFM) in the Offinso North District of the Ashanti Region caused a stir as they locked the newly created Youth Employment Agency (YEA) office in the area with big padlocks on Tuesday.

They accused one Ibrahim Bello, said to be the YEA Coordinator in the area, of demanding sex from females who visited the YEA (formerly GYEEDA) office to seek employment – an act which the YFM insists is denting the image of the NDC government.

The YFM members, led by their Coordinating Director for Offinso North, Yong-Yala Ernest, decided to lock the office so that the sex demands and other unscrupulous activities at the YEA office would stop.

Interestingly, the YFM members displayed absolute power without any fear or regard for the law, as they sealed off the office.

Staff of the YEA office could not get access to the office to work on the day and so returned home.

Wearing red armbands and chanting war songs amid threats of violently attacking anyone who dared to prevent them from accomplishing their mission, the YFM members besieged the YEA office early in the morning.

The Mahama supporters, who also wielded sticks and metal objects, reportedly removed the old padlocks that were used to lock the office and placed new ones to seal off the place.

Yong-Yala claimed that Ibrahim Bello had been soliciting for sex from six females that visited the YEA office in search of work since the beginning of 2016 alone, noting that he had evidence to prove his claim.

Yong-Yala said the YFM had in its possession audio and video recordings on which Ibrahim Bello made sexual demands to the six females who were in dire need of employment, saying that Ibrahim Bello ought to be sacked.

He said his group members decided to lock the YEA office because they feared that if Ibrahim Bello continued to stay in the office and made sexual advances at female job seekers, the NDC administration would be humiliated further.

Yong-Yala stated categorically that the YFM members would not allow Ibrahim Bello to step in the YEA office again to work and appealed to the authorities concerned to sack him for peace to prevail, Daily Guide reported.
