The Brong Ahafo Regional Police is currently on manhunt for a 23-year-old  man who are s alleged to have shot and killed his own brother over GH¢110.

According to Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP)   Christopher Tawiah, the incident occurred at nearby Kotokrom  after a quarrel over the said amount- stipend for deceased’s casual work

Narrating the incident, he said Kofi as the deceased is known, was a mason and the bread winner of his whole household had been engaged by a landlord to do some casual job for which the amount was charged as his workmanship.

After the job had been done, the landlord asked the deceased to come back later for him to pay him, however, his senior brother, known as Kwadwo, got wind of the arrangment, went ahead of him and succeeding in collecting the money, ASP Tawiah said.

The deceased after realising his money had been a taken headed home and confronted the brother over the issue asking why he (suspect) should do that, though as usual, all of them were going to use the money for food that day.

ASP Tawiah said the confrontation resulted in a quarrel during which Kwadwo threatened to kill his junior brother if he did not shut up over the issue.
True to his warning, Kwadwo was said to have brought a locally-manufactured gun from his room and allegedly shot the brother through the neck, killing him instantly and fleed the scene immediately before the police could get there.

ASP Tawiah said the body of Kofi has been conveyed to the Sunyani Regional Hospital Mortuary pending investigations for autopsy, the GNA reported.
