 A Police Corporal and two others have been arrested for dealings in fake currencies in Kumasi in the Ashanti region, it has been reported.
Kumasi-based FM reported that Corporal Eric K. Amoako from the Zongo Divisional Police was part of a team that sold fake currencies to dealers and extorted money from them during arrests.
They arrested when a businessman they had attempted to defraud by selling the fake currency to raise an alarm, according to the report.
Investigations have now commenced into the matter.
