President presents vehicles to four security agencies

The government Tuesday presented 253 vehicles to four security institutions to facilitate their operations.

President John Dramani Mahama, who made the presentation at a brief ceremony at the National Security Council Secretariat in Accra, said the vehicles were the first batch of a fleet of vehicles procured for all the security agencies to enhance their work.

 

Beneficiaries
The beneficiary and the institutions were the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI), which received two Mitsubishi Rosa buses, 20 Nissan Navara DC/SE pick-ups, 11 Nissan patrol station wagons, eight each of Nissan Sentra and Nissan Sunny saloon cars, four Toyota Camry 2 SL, and 30 motorbikes; the Ghana Prisons Service, which was given 10 Mitsubishi Rosa buses, 20 Nissan Navara pick-ups, seven Nissan Sentra, six Nissan Sunny, seven Toyota Camry, seven Toyota Prado and 20 Yamaha motorbikes; the Narcotics Control Board (NACOB), which was presented with two Mitsubishi Rosa buses, 15 Nissan Navara pick-ups, three Nissan Patrol station wagons; eight each of Nissan Sentra and Nisan Sunny saloon cars, four Toyota Camry, two Toyota Prado and 20 Yamaha motorbikes, and the National Security Council secretariat, which had one Mitsubishi Rosa bus, 10 Nissan Navara pick-ups, three each of Nissan Sentra and Nissan Sunny saloon, four Toyota Camry saloon and five Toyota Prado.

 

 

President Mahama said the remaining institutions would receive theirs in due course.
