Presidential Staffer, Dr. Louise Carol Serwaa Donkor has been suspended over unsavoury comments she made against the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) footsoldiers.

According to a release signed by the Chief of Staff, Hon. Akosua Frema Osei-Opare stated that the comments made by the Presidential staffer sought to disparage a section of Ghanaians which is unacceptable to the Office.

Dr. Louise Carol Serwaa Donkor, who is the Policy and Communication Analyst at the Office of the Presidency, has since been given a 30-day suspension beginning from Wednesday, June 13 2018.

She is also expected to tender in a written apology and commit to good behaviour.

Background

Dr. Donkor, who is the number 114 on the list of 998 presidential staffers and a leading member of controversial girls group PepperDem, incurred the wrath of NPP footsoldiers with a comment implying that she 'could not stand' party footsoldiers.

She wrote in response to a post about not dealing with footsoldiers as a principle: “You shouldn’t”, she encouraged her friend who posted it. “You can’t reason with them (footsoldiers).” She said.

“It’s like tribalist”, she added.

She has since apologized for her comments.

NPP footsoldiers, however, vowed that nothing short of a sack will appease them as they have been insulted once too many by the ‘privileged’ political staffers who are beneficiaries of the footsoldiers’ sweat.
