A Takoradi District Court has remanded two men into custody for allegedly stealing the property of one Lawyer Joseph Evans Abekah at Kwesimintim a suburb of Takoradi.
The pleas of the accused persons, Richard Agyekum aged 18, alias Richard Shucking, a taxi driver and Joseph Abbey aged 28, alias Abeiku an electrician, were not taken and they would reappear in court on Friday, Nov. 24, 2017.
Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Olivia Adiku, who is also the Regional Police Public Relations Officer said on 15 days of October this year, at about 0100 hours, the accused went to the complainant’s house and allegedly stole his iPhone 6s plus phone valued 2400 cedis, one Dell Laptop computer valued 1000.00 cedis, two pen drives, valued 30 cedis and a TV remote control valued 20.00 cedis.  Â
She said on November 9 the complainant reported the case to the police and with the assistance of an informant the accused persons were arrested.
ASP Adiku said a search conducted in the various rooms of the accused at Kwesimintim, revealed one HP Laptop Computer, one Acer Laptop computer, one Dell monitor, one brown leather bag which contained one white GTP cloth and three other assorted half pieces of GTP cloth, one half piece Methodist church anniversary cloth, one scarf, one Panasonic DVD player and one JVC Amplifier were retrieved .
She said the complainant later identified some of his items.
