The Governing Council of the University of Education, UEW, has assured the public they will do everything possible to restore calm and normalcy to the university.
The governing council of the University of Education Winneba says the closure of the university was necessary following the confusion and students rioting in the protest of some lecturers sacked by the Vice Chancellor.
Meanwhile, the cost of properties vandalized by the students during the protest is being assessed by the development council of the University.
The school released a statement in relation to the recent happenings in the University signed by the Chairman of the University of Education Winneba governing council, Prof Emmanuel Nicholas Abakah.
