An Accra Magistrate’s Court presided over by Mr James Kojo Botsh has fined a vulcaniser the sum GH¢480 for snatching a lady's bag.

The vulcaniser, Pascal Agbadzi will serve one month in prison if he fails to pay the fine.

According to Chief Inspector Victor Dosoo who prosecuted the case, on June 8, 2016, owner of the bag Felicia Adoko, who is a seamstress and another witness were walking home from work at Kokomlemle.

While they were walking, Agbadzi, who had followed them for a while,  snatched Felicia’s handbag which contained a mobile phone and GH₵150 and bolted.

Mr Dosoo said Felicia and the said witness chased Agbadzi until he reached a dead end where dropped the handbag in a gutter and scaled the wall to escape.

He said luck eluded Agbadzi, as he was caught by some good samaritans and sent to the Nima Police Station where admitted the offence in his caution statement.

He was charged with stealing put before the court and has been convicted on his own plea, accrding to Graphic Online.
