59-year-old Edward Korbly Doe Adjaho is a formidable man in Ghana’s democratic structure being speaker of Ghana’s parliament since 2013 having taking over from Joyce Adeline Bamford-Addo.

The onetime Member of Parliament for the Avenor-Ave constituency in Ghana’s parliament on the National Democratic Congress (NDC) ticket is a Ewe hailing from Wlitey in the Volta Region of Ghana.

The husband and father of four has a unique style for one from southern Volta.

Its apparent Mr. Adjaho loves suits, be it blue or black accentuated with a blue, wine or stripped tie. Perhaps it’s the barrister in him.

The standard Ewe or better till Anlo male attire is Jumpa (top) and Dzokoto (large shorts) accompanied by Togbenya (hat) and sandals. Others simply opt for cloth which is put over the shoulder.

My lens is yet to capture Mr. Adjaho in a jumpa or cloth, for it appears he is not a fan of African print shirts, linen shirt and boubou/bubu although he sparingly dons batakari or smock when the urge is strong.

Enjoy this photos of speaker Adjaho, the suit loving man.
