NDC has been practicing 'Woyomenomics' that's why Ghanaians are suffering - Bawumia

Vice Presidential Candidate of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has stated that the reason why Ghana's economy is suffering is because the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) was not engaging in proper economic practices in managing the economy.

According to him, instead of practising economics, the NDC has been engaging 'Woyomenomics' where they were only interested in creating, looting and sharing the nation's resources.

This, he explained was the reason why the NPP had very little resources but was able to do so much in their eight years in power while the NDC has done very with so much resources.

Addressing the NPP's national rally at the Trade Fair Centre in Accra on Sunday, Dr Bawumia wondered why under  the NPP could fund the school feeding, capitation grant, MMT, teaching and  nursing trainee allowances with just GHC20 billion  but the NDC cannot pay for teaching and nursing allowances or NHIS even with over GHC200 billion.

For him, the NDC was not economically astute and was corrupt in addition and "when you have corruption and you add incompetence, there is an explosion of 'wahala' everywhere".

"We need change [because] over the last eight years this government has demonstrated that they arere the most corrupt in Ghana's history", he stated, urging Ghanaians to vote for the "incorruptible Akufo-Addo" to restore Ghana.
