The opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) is considering reinstating the suspended National Chairman, Paul Awentime Afoko and General Secretary, Kwabena Agyei Agyepong.

The Second National Vice-Chairman, Sammy Crabbe who is also on suspension is also being considered for reinstatement but the exact date for their reinstatement is not yet known.

The trio were suspended following recommendations by the party's disciplinary committee after they were accused of misconduct. Mr Afoko was suspended in October while Agyepong and Crabbe were suspended in December, last year.

But inside sources, according to kasapafmonline, say the level at which discussions for the return of the trio have reached would be impossible for the party to rescind its decision, especially, as they enter into the critical months of the electioneering campaign hinting that the party has come to the conclusion that  with the large following the trio have, their return can help the party to strategically position itself to win the November 7 polls

The ability of the suspended executives, especially Mr Afoko, to mobilise financial resources is also reported to weighed in their favour.
