Campaign coordinator of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) Kofi Adams says Policy Advisor of the opposition New Patriotic Party(NPP) Boakye Agyarko is a liar by suggesting that Ghanaians pay more for electricity bills than rent.
Speaking on Citi FM in reaction to the NPP's press conference on Monday to address some issues in the recently launched NDC Manifesto, Mr. Adams said there is never a situation where people could pay more for electricity than their rent.
He said, there were situations where several households depend on one meter which sometimes becomes unbearable but the supply of one meter per household will address the issue.
"In any case, the NPP said our manifesto was full of stolen ideas, then the Minority Leader says the manifesto contains nothing good, then the Policy Advisor says it is good but cannot be implemented", he stated.
"So who in the NPP is speaking the truth", is he the one is saying our manifesto contains nothing or the one who says they are stolen ideas or the one that says it contains wonderful ideas that cannot be implemented ", he asked.
"When you have a party that continue to lie to itself, that is how low they would bring themselves", he stated.
He said the fact that, Mr. Agyarko has mentioned prizes of items which he believes have gone up does not make it the reality on the ground.
Prizes of food items he said has never come down except instances that prizes change within a year especially with seasonal items.
"That is why President Mahama has decided to invest in aqua culture where fish could be harvested and supplied the market at all times", he stated.
He stressed that, the NPP are unable to put out a manifesto and the comments of their Policy Advisor are lies and must be disregarded.
