Former President Jerry John Rawlings thinks the falgbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, may win the Presidential election come Novemebr 7. In an interview with Nana Aba Anamoah on GH ONE TV's State of Affairs show, the founder of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) said, "Nana Akufo-Addo has a good chance of winning just like
the other candidates in the race". "I would say Nana Akufo-Addo is one hell of a bold character and I wish him well and I wish the other leaders including John Mahama also well", he added.
“Let us just make sure we play it fair,†Mr. Rawlings advised..
On Corruption, former President Rawlings said, "I doubt if President Mahama is fighting corruption as he claims".
"Well he says he is fighting corruption effectively, I don't think so. I think he could have done much much better", he explained.
