The Asante Akyem North Constituency office of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) was soiled with human excreta, ahead of the party's Presidential Candidate, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo's visit on Sunday, July 17.

The office which was expected to be commissioned by Nana Akufo-Addo, was put in an embarrasing state and it took members several hours to put it back in shape.
Some of the executives pointed  to a case of sabotage by ardent followers of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) saying the NDC was not comfortabe with the visit of Mr Akufo-Addo because they feel his presence would prove damaging for the fortunes of President Mahama, the Presidential Candidate of the NDC, in the constituency.
But some residents, according to Myjoyonline, believe some insider persons were responsible for the act because there cracks within the party in the constituency.They believe one of the feuding parties wants the flagbearer to see the divided front ahead of the November polls.Â
The executives, they say are not united and they are constantly battling one another.
