The National Union of Ghana Students (NUGS) has called on government to identify and punish the masked security personnel who assaulted voters during Ayawaso West Wuogon by-election held on January 31, 2019.
According to NUGS, failure to do so will only endorse assertions that the government lacks control over the security situation in the country.
In an interview with citinews, monitored by PrimenewsGhana, The President of the group(NUGS) Gombilla Sadiq Mohammed said:Â
''If its a by-election and this happening then what it means is that 2020 will be worse. That is why the National Union of Ghana Students(NUGS) came out categorically to condemn the act and want Ghanaians across the world to condemn this act whether the government or the opposition.
