BNI Denying Capt Koda Access To Full Medical Care - Lawyer

Nana Asante Bediatuo, lawyer for Captain (rtd) Edmund Koda, re-arrested on Thursday by the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) for his alleged role in bringing the three South African ex-police officers to train the party's security personnel has Accused the BNI of denying his client access to full medical care.

 

Captain (rtd) Koda, head of the private security detail for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Flagbearer, Nana Akuffo Addo, was rushed to the 37 Military Hospital after falling very sick on Saturday whiles in BNI custody, according to citifmonline.

But Nana Asante Bediatuo,  who confirmed the hospitalisation said was Captain Koda was rushed to the Ghana Armed Forces facility for medical attention, where doctors had recommended he stayed a while longer for more treatement but the BNI operatives refused.

The BNI's treatment of his client was not fair and that his rights have been abused under the laws of Ghana.
