Presidential Candidate of the People's Progressive Party (PPP), Dr Paa Kwesi Nduom has chosen Madam Brigitte Dzogbenuku, founder of Mentoring Women Ghana (MWG) as his running mate for the upcoming general elections.

Brigitte Dzogbenuku who won the Miss Ghana Beauty Pageant in 1991 launched the MWG, a not for profit organisation that prepares young girls for leadership through sports and mentoring opportunities in 2009 after serving almost twelve years as the General Manager of the Aviation Social Centre, a recreaational centre in Accra.

She had not really been politically until 2014 when she joined pressure group, #OccupyGhana  to protest against corruption, infrastructure decay, worsening economy, the deteriorating economic conditions in the country, among other things.

The choice of Madam Dzogbenuku makes it two women running mates in two elections for the PPP as the party's running mate in the 2012 elections was a woman, former Ghana Broadcastiong Corporation (GBC) Director-Genral, Madam Eva Lokko.
