Bring on board ideas to develop Zongo, Inner cities: Akufo-Addo to Muslims

President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has asked all persons leaving in the Zongo and inner cities of the country to participate fully in the consultative forum for the Zongo development fund to help propel development in these areas.

Addressing the Muslim community at this year’s Eid-uL Fitr celebration at the Black Star Square in Accra, President Akufo-Addo said contributing ideas through a participatory consultative forum by all stakeholders in the Zongo and inner cities,  will help government adopt a blue print that will be acceptable and practicable to the benefit of all in these communities.

The New Patriotic Party as part of its campaign promised to established a Zongo development fund with a seed money of ₵219 million to help develop the Zongo communities which has a majority Muslim population in the country.

The President noted, it is time to bring prosperity to all parts of the country with the fund's developmental projects which include building of hospitals, educational facilities and creation of jobs to the benefit of residents of the various Zongo's and inner cities of Ghana.
