The Office of the Former President John Dramani Mahama has warned members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to be cautious of some individuals seeking to solicit information from other party executives and members on his behalf.
In a statement signed by a special aide to the former President, Joyce Mogtari, John Dramani Mahama wishes to inform all members, supporters, and sympathisers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) that the Former President has not constituted any team to undertake a post-Kwesi Botchwey Committee survey.

The statement also advised party members to desist from such acts of impersonation and misinformation, particularly as we all continue to work towards reorganizing the Party across the country

An investigative committee set up by the party after their electoral defeat in the 2016 general elections to probe the circumstances leading to the defeat of the party has presented its findings to the National Executive Council (NEC) in June. The committee in other things has asked the party to embark on a nationwide peace tour to unite the party for the 2020 general elections.

The statement from the office of the former President is below

The Office of HE John Dramani Mahama wishes to inform all members, supporters, and sympathizers of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) that the Former President has not constituted any team to undertake a post-Kwesi Botchwey Committee survey.

We have over the last week received reports from across the country about the activities of some members of the Party seeking to solicit information from executives and members of the NDC, claiming that they are being sponsored by the Office of HE John Dramani Mahama.

We wish to strongly advise them to desist from such acts of impersonation and misinformation, particularly as we all continue to work towards reorganizing the Party across the country.
