First Deputy Majority Whip and Member of Parliament for Nyindam constituency, Matthew Nyindam has said God will punish the Minority in Parliament if they rise to impeach Speaker of Parliament, Prof. Aaron Mike Ocquaye.

The NPP MP fumed that the minority in Parliament are being ungrateful despite the fair treatment given them by the Speaker. He added that Speaker Aaron Mike Oquaye is so charitable that, irrespective of the number of the Majority as against the Minority in Parliament, equal submissions are taken during debates on the floor of the house.

Matthew Nyindam continued that, there have been several instances where Majority leader Osei Kyei Mensah Bonsu has been refused by the Speaker to talk even when he stood on his feet for some time, therefore the Minority should tread cautiously with the stance they have taken.

His comment is anchored on the recent outburst of the Minority that Speaker of Parliament Prof. Aaron Mike Ocquaye is being autocratic and bias.

Minority Spokesperson on Communications, A.B.A Fuseini speaking on Asempah FM’s Eko si Sen yesterday February 19, 2018, said, the leadership of the minority is discussing a number of options including impeachment to arrest the ‘autocratic’ leadership style of the Speaker of Parliament.

However in a sharp rebuttal on the same medium, First Deputy Majority Whip, Matthew Nyindam said the Minority in Parliament know they won’t succeed with their alleged impeachment, and if they make any attempt to dent the image of Prof Aaron Mike Oquaye’s credential, God will punish them equally.
