Editor of the New Crusading Guide Kweku Baako has said the Minister of Special Development Initiatives Mavis Hawa Koomson will not resign as requested by the Minority in Parliament.

Kweku Baako said the oversight of the minister in allocating GH¢800,000 for the development of a website instead of GH¢80,000 cannot be a reason for her to resign.

The Special Development Initiatives ministry on Thursday presented its budget for 2018 to the Finance Committee of Parliament.

The approved budget indicates that the ministry intends to spend GH¢800,000 for the development of a website and also GH¢132,000,000.00 for the construction of a solar-powered mechanized borehole.

The revelation has caused some Ghanaians, especially those on social media to question the figure allocated for the various projects.

The Minority has also in protest of the figures called for the resignation of the minister over what they described as gross incompetence on the part of the minister.

According to the minority, the minister is not fit for the position.

The minister after the public condemnation came out to explain it was an error and she is ready to resign if it will please her critics.

But Kweku Baako in a radio interview said the minister will not resign because the error is not the one that will warrant her resignation.
