The Minority leader Haruna Iddrisu has forewarned his Majority counterpart, Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu that at the right time fire back in equal measure all the insults he threw at him over the cash-for-seat saga.

According to Haruna Iddrisu, the Majority leader has no monopoly over insults and as such he will retaliate in “commensurate if not in excess” at the appropriate time.

Enraged while speaking in an emergency press conference minutes after the Minority boycotted a sitting, Haruna Iddrisu said he will not allow anyone to tarnish his image or whatsoever.

The minority in Parliament on February 6, 2018, stormed out of Parliament after they disagreed with the move to debate the report of the Committee which investigated the alleged $100k extortion by the Ministry of Trade and Industry.
Meanwhile, the Minority in Parliament last week released a counter-report on the cash-for-seat-saga, accusing Committee Chairman Ameyaw Kyeremeh of a cover-up.

According to a minority member of the cash-for-seat-saga committee, Dr Dominic Ayine explained that their decision to walk out of Parliament was a response to the refusal of the Committee Chairman to capture their observations in the final report.

Majority leader Osei Mensah Bonsu has registered his disgust by the posture of the Minority since the start of the probe, he reiterated on the floor of Parliament that Parliament will not listen to any “cock and bull story” from the opposition lawmakers.

However, Haruna Iddrisu said he will react directly to the insults by Osei Mensah Bonsu insults in an “equal measure.”

“The majority leader used uncharitable and insulting words [but] let him be served notice that he has no monopoly on insults,” he said.
