The Youth Organizer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Brong-Ahafo region Kwame Baffoe, has cautioned members of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) to prepare for rebuttals if they intend to intimidate them (NPP) in the upcoming December 7 polls.

Kwame Boafo says there will be no peace before, during and after the elections since the Director of Communications of the governing National Democratic Congress Solomon Nkansah and his party are planning to intimidate them in a bid to steal votes in the Brong-Ahafo Region but the NPP are prepared to match them ‘boot for boot’.

Speaking to Abusua FM, Baffoe continued “They have planned to bring intimidation in this year’s election in the Brong Ahafo, he Solomon Nkansah has said but I want him to understand that we the NPP have not met anywhere to think of creating violence. Even in 1992 when we were new in the system with a low strength and contested the NDC who were then in military governance, we didn’t get twenty percent.

“We had more than that and but he shouldn’t forget that now every thing in election is backed by figures so there is no way they can cheat us”, he stressed.

He further added the New Patriotic Party will canvass for votes to secure 55% for Nana Addo in the region irrespective of the intimidations.

“Our target is to get fifty-five percent of the total votes cast in the Brong Ahafo Region but if he Solomon Nkansah and his party members have realized  and want  to invite violence by way of intimidation, then we are also ready to deal with them unstoppably.”
