President John Mahama "cannot fight corruption even if he is forced to do so", New Patriotic Party (NPP) Policy Director, Boakye Agyarko has stated.

According to him, the fact that President Mahama's name came up in investigations in the Embraer 190 scandal was enough evidence that he was not well placed to fight corruption.

"How can someone investigated under Mills on allegations of corruption fight it now he is the boss", he asked.

Mr Agyarko said considering the magnitude of corruption under the current administration, "the thought John Mahama winning a second term is a frightening prospect".

This government says it is putting people first but it is just paying lip service to that because it has put corruption first.

"In today's Ghana with the problems we have nothing shows that John Mahama is putting people first", he stated, adding that "it cannot be disputed that Mahama has made Ghanaians poorer".
