In respecting the rights of the handicapped in society, President Dramani Mahama has reminded all that just as he made history as the president to appoint a blind minister, Dr. Henry Seidu Daanaa to the Chieftaincy and Traditional Affairs Ministry, the NDC’s party manifesto has a Braille version for the visually impaired to also peruse and understand the policies he seeks to implement in the next four years.

He urged parliament to move with the times and install a Braille device and software at Parliament House so Dr. Daanaa and others can follow proceedings and make meaningful contributions.

Candidate Mahama stated at the Sunyani Coronation Park event in the Brong Ahafo Region that his next four years in power will see a Green Revolution Launch where there will be an agriculture drive for Ghana to be food sufficient in grains and tubers by 2021 and be a net exporter of rice and grains in addition.

He pledged, irrigated and mechanized agriculture will be vigorously pursued to ensure all year farming while not neglecting aqua-culture farming.
