The incumbent General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia, picked his forms to seek re-election, but his Deputy, Koku Anyidoho says he is not contesting anyone for the position.

He said his motive to run for the position of the NDC’s General Secretary is not to compete with anyone, even though his boss also picked forms to contest the same position.

“I am not contesting anybody but I am vying for a position.  The party first and we are working in the interest of the party” Koku told Accra based Okay FM on Monday which was monitored by PrimeNewsGhana.

The Deputy Scribe said his interest is to serve the party and he is the only one vying for a position.

Koku said “no insults at all because the delegates will decide at the right time.  I have a clean heart and a clean conscience and it is God who is directing me”.

The picking of nominations forms ended on Saturday, August 25, 2018.
