The opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) is to form a Security and Intelligence sub-committee under the Functional Executive Committee, a National Chairman Hopeful, Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, has revealed.
He said the job of the security and intelligence sub-committee will not be vigilantism like what those in the New Patriotic Party (NPP) are doing in the country.
Mr. Ofosu-Ampofo made the revelation in an interview with PrimeNewsGhana on the current trend where vigilantism is the order of the day in the NPP.
“We will establish security and intelligence sub-committee under the Functional Executive Committee and they will be made up of former security expertsâ€, he explained.
He said “as for that, we will do it but our system of vigilantism will not be based on seizure of offices, toilets and other government and personal properties like the NPP is doingâ€.
“We will build a well regulated…well disciplined internal security and they will cooperate with the national securityâ€, he added.
