Finance Minister-designate, Ken Ofori-Atta, will be using a Toyota Camry instead of an SUV vehicle if parliament approves him.
Mr Ofori-Atta, co-founder of Databank Ghana Limited was on Tuesday named by President Nana Akufo-Addo as his Finance Minister, pending approval from Parliament.
According to the founder of Danquah Institute, Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko, Mr Ofori-Atta, when he is approved, will be using a Toyota Camry instead of the official SUV which is given to ministers by government.Â
In a tweet on Wednesday, he described Mr Ofori Atta’s decision is a “bold statement†in line with the government’s resolve to protect the public purse.
