Rising Ghana, an NGO with the initiative of inspiring young people to aspire for greatness in life in order contribute to the development of the nation, has condemned the Marwako incident and called for justice.
In a press release signed by Executive Secretary Rising Ghana, Kwame Buckman, it stated that “we will want to strongly condemn the recent wicked behaviour that was meted out to Evelyn Boakye a kitchen staffer at the Marwako restaurant at Abelenkpe in Accra.”
“We condemn that bad behaviour and believe that the necessary punitive measures will be given to the Lebanese Manager who subjected the young maid to suffer the pain of dipping her face in pepper that was been blended.”
“Rising Ghana is currently content with the way the Ghana Police, the Ministry of Employment and Labour Relations and the Ministry of Gender have taken up the issue at stake. Rising Ghana is convinced that justice will prevail and Evelyn Boakye also given the needed assistance. Rising Ghana is following with keen interest and knows that the Laws of the country will be applied.”
