Minister-designate for Youth and Sports, Isaac Asiamah has pledged that he will not concentrate solely on football to the neglect of other sporting activities.

Appearing before the Appointment Committee of Parliament, Mr Asiamah stated that,"I am not going to be minister for only football."

He added that, there are over 40 disciplines and many Ghanaians who are interested in other sporting disciplines and must be assisted.

He said, a special desk would be created to track the progress and invest heavily in other sports.

"We will develop all the other sports in the country and also encourage women participation in sports by creating the platform for everyone to excel,"he stated.
