At a press conference in Accra, Ghana’s Minister of Youth and Sports, Kofi Adams, outlined the key details of the budget, which has been forwarded for final approval by the Office of the President. The budget breakdown shows that $733,000 will cover the away fixture against the Central African Republic on October 8 in Casablanca, while $387,000 will be allocated for the home game against Comoros at the Accra Sports Stadium on October 12.
The budget includes expenses for travel, accommodation, player per diems, match bonuses, officiating fees, training facilities, and essential support services. Minister Adams emphasized that the submitted budget aligns with previously agreed-upon fiscal benchmarks and highlighted that no adjustments or deviations have been made from earlier projections.
During the briefing, Minister Adams firmly dismissed claims of political interference or delays in the funding process, stressing that players’ welfare and entitlements have been treated with the utmost respect and professionalism. “The players are our priority, and we have ensured that all necessary resources are in place for their success,” he stated.
