Former Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has revealed that he targets to go back to management in the summer and not in January.

Conte was linked with managing Real Madrid after the Spanish giants sacked Julen Lopetegui as the head coach. However, Conte distanced himself from the managerial job after he said the move wasn't right. On Monday, the club confirmed the appointment of Santiago Solari, who was a caretaker manager as the permanent boss until the end of the current campaign.

Speaking to Sky Italia, Conte said he is enjoying the time away from football until the summer.

"Let's see what happens in the future, but for sure Italy. I would like to be in Italy and work again in Italy, without excluding that I might work again abroad," said Conte when asked if he would like a job in Italian football.

"For a manager of my level, it is better to wait instead of jumping on a train. I prefer to wait for June and to start a path with a new team, a new project."

"For the moment, I don't feel the urge to go back to work. Maybe in two or three months, I will feel the desire and I'll say something different from what I am saying now."
