Former Black Stars forward, Augustine Arhinful has called on the Ghana Premier League (GPL) Clubs to soften their stands in their deliberations with the Normalization Committee.

The Ghana Premier League Clubs and the Normalization Committee has been at loggerheads with regards to the proposed special competition to revive football in the country.

A disagreement between the two parties led to the cancellation of the special competition which was expected to revive football in the country.

Speaking on Asempa FM, Arhinful maintains that Ghana football is being normalized because of the attitude of the clubs in time past and they should soften their stands in deliberations with Dr Kofi Amoah led-committee.

"From the way things are going, it looks as if the GPL clubs aren't ready for the normalization of football," he told Asempa FM.

"It would be better for the club owners to support the Normalization Committee to get the job done"

"Opposing everything the Normalization Committee brings on board is the reason why we are where we are now"

"Let's forget about entrench positions and forge ahead, we need to make headway."

The Normalization Committee term of office ends on 31st March 2019.
