Nigeria Super Falcons progress to the final of the 2018 Africa Women Cup Of Nations (AWCON) after defeating the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon 4-2 on penalty shootouts.

The defending champions secured a place in the final of the AWCON 2018 after playing a goalless drawn game in regulation time with the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon but beat them on penalties.

Nigeria goalkeeper Tochukwu Oluehi saved a penalty from Gaelle Enganamouit in the shootouts to help the Super Falcons book their ticket to the final.

Thomas Dennerby’s charges started the AWCON 2018 on a disappointing note going down to a shocking 1-0 defeat to the Banyana Banyana of South Africa but bounced back to their best having scored 10 goals without conceding in the last two games in the tournament.

Nigeria advanced to the final after converting 4 of their kicks as against Cameroon's 2 and awaits the winner of the South Africa and Mali game.
