English Premier League champions Chelsea have confirmed that Ghanaian left back Baba Rahman will stay at the club to continue his recovery from a knee injury.
The 23-year old left back has been out of action for the past six months after fracturing his meniscus and some parts of his anterior cruciate ligament in Ghana’s AFCON 2017 opener against Uganda.
German side Schalke were reported to be interested in recruiting the player but were also worried about his fitness.

The decision by Chelsea means Rahman will be spending more time playing some matches with the club's U23 to speed up his recovery.
Rahman has made 23 appearances for Chelsea since signing from Augsburg for £21 million in 2015.
