The Black Maidens of Ghana are determined to seal their spot in the knockout phase of the 2018 FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup in Uruguay with a win over Finland.

The Maidens will square off against Finland in their second game of the tournament on Friday, November 16 at the Estadio Charrua in Montevideo.

Coach Evans Adotey, who guided his female U-17 team to a 5-0 victory in the opening game, where Adulai Mukarama netted the first hat-trick of the tournament is determined to ease Ghana’s road to the knockout stage of the tournament.

According to the head coach Evans Adotey, the team will improve on the performance against Finland in order to seal knockout qualification with ease.

“My only hope is to ensure that Ghana comes out with a win on Friday so that our road to the next stage will be easier”

“We have been able to work on some of the mistakes we made in the match against Uruguay and come Friday we are hoping to put up a good performance and make it to the next stage, coach Adotey told ghanafa.org in an interview.
