Ghana’s Black Maidens had their first training session Thursday upon arrival in Amman, Jordan ahead of their clash with the formidable Japanese side on Saturday.

Chairman of the Maidens Management Committee, Augustine Asante explained, the team arrived in Jordan a week earlier to acclimatize and settle in.

He stated since their training tour couldn’t materialise as planned, it was decided the team sets off early to do some work outs before serious business emerges.

The Maidens are competing in the U-17 2016 FIFA Women World Cup staged in Jordan from September 30-October 21. They are in Group D with Japan, Paraguay and USA.
