The Black Starlets have been drawn in Group A of the FIFA U17 World Cup alongside the United States of America, Columbia and host India.

The Starlets who finished 2nd in the African Championship behind Mali will be aiming to move a step further to win the World Cup in October.

The Black Starlets of Ghana finished 2nd in the Africa Youth Championship

Group D, obviously the group of death comprises  football power houses Brazil, Spain, African semi finalist Niger and Korea DPR.

African Champions Mali are in Group B with Turkey, New Zealand and Paraguay. The last edition of the tournament was played in 2015 in Chile and was won by Nigeria which failed to qualify to this year's tournament.

The tournament will begin on the 6th of October to the 28 of October
