Black Stars set to take on Mexico tomorrow(Wednesday)

The Black Stars of Ghana will finalize preparations today(Tuesday) in Texas where they will take on Mexico in a friendly match on Wednesday.

The stars arrived on Saturday night and has since being preparing for the game, though Mexico would present a second team following their participation in the Confederations Cup.

In all, 22 players named by coach Kwesi Appiah would be engaged in tomorrow's match as well as the subsequent match against USA.

The Black Stars would feature some new faces including Hearts of Oak's playmaker Winful Cobbinah leading the home-based players and the likes of Nicholas Opoku (Berekum Chelsea),Samuel Sarfo (Liberty, Ghana),Mohammed Abu (Columbus Crew, USA), Isaac Sackey (Alanyaspor, Turkey) and Gershon Koffie (New England Revolution) who would be hoping to make a mark.

Captain Asamoah Gyan would lead the squad for the game which is slated for the Houston’s NRG Stadium.

The four-time African champions will face the United States second friendly three days later at Pratt & Whitney Stadium in Connecticut.
