Ghanaian and Red Star Belgrade forward Richmond Boakye Yiadom will spend time on the sidelines after sustaining a calf injury.

The Ghanaian has been in top form and is currently the highest African scorer in Europe with 42 goals.

He is expected to miss at least two to four weeks of actions depending on how well he responds to treatment.

It was reported that French top-flight side Bordeaux had agreed a €6m with Red Star Belgrade for the services of the striker but the move broke down with this latest injury.

The Ghanaian international shared his frustration in a tweet; ''Injuries do happen but sometimes, they happen at the worst possible time. I expect to be back in fitness, shortly,''

Yiadom has been a target for several top European sides and will look to be back stronger.
