CAF announce Salah, Mane and Aubameyang as finalist for African Footballer of the Year Award

CAF has announced Mohammed Salah, Aubameyang and Sadio Mane as the three finalist for the 2017 African Player of the Year Award.

Salah 25, who plays for Liverpool has been in fine form after scoring five goals to help Egypt qualify for their first World Cup since 1990.

He is currently the top scorer in the English Premier league with 14 goals.

Sadio Mane has also been instrumental for both Club and country. He failed to lead Senegal to AFCON glory but has manage to help them qualify for the 2018 World Cup. He also plays for Liverpool. 

Aubameyang, meanwhile, has scored 45 goals this year and is now the African with the most goals scored in the Bundesliga. 

The Borussia Dortmund forward is the most wanted African player now. 

The overall winner will be announced at Awards Gala on Thursday, 4 January 2018 in Accra, Ghana.
