CAF begins inspection of venues in Ghana ahead of 2018 Africa Women's Championship

The Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) inspection team have arrived in Ghana to examine the state of facilities that will be used in hosting the 2018 Africa Women's Cup of Nations (AWCON).

Ghana will be hosting the tournament next year and CAF has arrived to inspect venues that will be hosting the eight-team tournament.

The Cape Coast and the Accra Sports Stadium are the two venues that have been chosen to host the tournament.

The delegation started their visit in Cape Coast on Saturday by visiting the Cape Coast Stadium.

On Sunday they inspected the Robert Mensah and Nduom Stadiums as well as the Glowlamp Soccer Academy which will serve as the training venues for the teams.

The delegation will look out for hotel facilities, broadcasting standards at the stadium, medical facilities, the stadium and training pitches as well as transport facilities.
