Esperance's coach Mouine Chaabani has said his team respects Al Ahly but is fully intent on beating the Egyptians on Friday, 2 November 2018.
The two African greats meet in Friday evening’s 1st leg final at Borg El-Arab for which Al Ahly has been permitted to welcome 60 000 spectators.
"Ahly is a great club in the continent,†Chaabani admitted.
"They have much experience, but we are determined to win the title,†he added.
The newly-appointed Esperance coach used the semi-final struggle against what was a highly spirited Angolan Primeiro de Agosto team, as a template to succeed against the Red Devils.

"We suffered a lot against Primeiro de Agosto," Chaabani added.
"I hope that the players took the lesson from this nerve-wracking game and understood that nothing is guaranteed in the world of football,†he said in reference to the 4-3 aggregate win.
Chaabani’s men will compete in Alexandria having one eye on the 2nd leg in its own home on Friday, 9 November 2018 in Tunis.
